about
Mirabel is a Meisner trained on-camera and voice actor based in the Bay Area, California. She is represented by MDT Agency in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has trained at Bay Area Acting Studio, American Improv Theatre, and Voicetrax SF.
Prior to acting, she trained for over a decade in competitive latin / ballroom dancing and performance (Waltz, Tango, Cha Cha, Samba, Swing, etc) and other dance styles under professional coaches, competing and performing for numerous events. Mirabel eventually became an instructor and choreographer, and was a coach for San Jose State University’s collegiate ballroom dance team, SJSU Dancesport for a number of years. She’s also a social dance instructor and performer for Northern California’s largest anime convention ball event, FanimeCon’s Black & White Ball.
After ending her competitive ballroom dancing run, Mirabel was eager to perform again, and soon transitioned into acting, beginning her foundational training in the Meisner technique. She quickly expanded her training into comedy, improvisation, and voiceover, booking independent film roles and commercials in the SF Bay Area and Los Angeles. As an actress, Mirabel is passionate about helping bring filmmakers’ visions come to life.
Currently, her biggest and most personal project is a short film called Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, an upcoming independent short film inspired by real events from her childhood, filmed on location at an active airport in San Jose, CA. This film is dedicated to and in direct support of the aviation community in the Bay Area.
In 2020, she began collaborating with filmmaker Robert Silver, and joined Day One Films as producer, writer, and actress, expanding her skillset and helping bring more creative visions and film projects to life. She produced and starred in Day One Films’ first narrative short Departure, and wrote and starred in the film I Walk With You—with several other projects in development.
In 2023, she joined The Maudlin Anthology, a creative group producing podcasts and audio dramas with a focus on horror, romance and their intersection. She is the casting director and producer for The Maudlin Anthology’s first audio drama, The Voicemail Box is Full.
She continues ongoing training in scene study, comedy, improvisation, voice over, and on-camera technique.
In addition to acting, she loves watching and discussing movies, going dancing, attending anime/sci-fi/comic/fandom conventions, and traveling!
