Our short film Departure has been selected as part of Screen! Short Film Fridays in May, and will be playing at 3Below theaters in Downtown San Jose on Friday, May 13th at 7pm!
SCREEN! is a locally operated program created to provide opportunities for rising filmmakers. Ticket proceeds go to the filmmakers! And there will be 30 minute audience Q&A at the end of each screening.

I’m thrilled and honored be part of this story. I was cast as Rosario in the play, “Not in Kansas,” written by playwright Lauren Lola.
“Not in Kansas” follows two PhD students from the Philippines studying in the United States in the early 1950’s. While making a trip down to New Orleans, they encounter the opposite of Southern hospitality at a rest stop in Mississippi. This story is inspired by a few of many experiences of Lauren Lola’s great aunt, who actually was confronted by a sheriff in the Jim Crow South, for drinking out of a colored only water fountain.

“Not in Kansas” was part of Rainy Day Artistic Collective’s Halfway Historical One Act Festival Festival, a digital festival consisting of short plays. Live performances happened on March 18-20, 2022.
This one is a late post! One of my earliest productions with Day One Films, I Walk With You, has been released!
This short project was filmed over the course of a weekend during the early pandemic, and was my first official collaboration with director Robert Silver and writer Steven Armstrong.
